Winter Final Exam Review

Your final exam will contain 100 possible points and consist of the following items:

 10 multiple choice listening comprehension questions from an authentic Spanish language source

 30 multiple choice questions over vocabulary and culture from units one through five

 20 multiple choice questions -interpretation of authentic written sources

 20 points for presentational writing

 20 points for a speaking task (THIS PART WILL BE DONE ON MONDAY, DEC. 12 TH )

In order to be prepared for your final exam you should:

 Know all vocabulary from units one through five

 Know how to speak/write using the present tense, past tense as well as future tenses

 Be able to use commands affectively

 Be able to use reflexive pronouns in commands and in sentences

 Be comfortable speaking about yourself, asking others questions, giving directions, telling others what to do/not to do, making travel plans and narrating a simple story in the past tense.

Unit 1

1) Write 5 things a teacher would say in class and 5 things a student would say. (Yes, in

Spanish)

2) Write seven sentences telling what you did over the summer. Use the preterite tense!

Unit 2

Give the regular endings for the future tense:

-ar verbs -er verbs -ir verbs

List the irregular verbs in the future tense along with their irregular stems.

Write 5 words or phrases that describe you.

Tell what you need to do when taking a trip by plane. List at least 10 steps and use vocabulary from this unit.

Describe your future house or apartment. What will it be like?

Unit 3

Explain how to form each of the following commands:

Affirmative tú negative tú

Ud. Uds.

Give directions from your house to your best friend’s house using affirmative AND negative tú commands.

List ten things you might see when visiting a Hispanic city (use vocabulary!)

Unit 4

List seven pieces of furniture found in a bedroom and seven found in a living room.

Name four “handy people” and tell three things that each one can do for you.

How do you say that something happened by accident? (lost, forgot, broke, etc.)

How is the imperfect tense formed?

Describe your childhood in 5 sentences.

Unit 5

Choose seven professions from our list and write a definition for each in Spanish describing what that person’s job entails (what they do), as well as two necessary qualities for each job. Try to use a variety of vocabulary!
