Spanish 3 Preterite Tense Project – Major Grade

You will work with a partner to write an original past-tense narrative, using your
chapter 1 vocabulary and correcting conjugated preterite verbs. You will receive a
storyboard on which to write and illustrate your final draft—take the time to
brainstorm ideas, draft sentences and EDIT on your own paper. You final story must
be neat, thorough, and demonstrate a strong command of the preterite tense.
You must use a minimum 20 different vocabulary words (Chapter 1) and a minimum of
15 preterite conjugations. You will receive one point for each vocabulary word and
each correctly conjugated verb—they MUST be underlined in your final story!!! (Verbs
on your vocabulary list may count once as a vocab. word. Simply underline the word
twice to show that it’s being used as both.
Below is the rubric that will be used to grade your stories. You and your partner will
receive the same grade. This assignment will count as a major grade.
