Associate/Full Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice (JOB #11286)
The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice (SCCJ) invites applications for an associate or full
professor (with tenure) to begin August of 2016. Successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to
contribute to the core research strengths of the SCCJ in the substantive areas of criminology and
criminal justice. The areas of specialization are open, but the SCCJ is particularly interested in individuals
with strengths in one of the following areas: empirical testing of criminological theories, juvenile
delinquency/justice, corrections, and the forensic scientific aspects of criminal investigations.
The College of Public Service & Community Solutions’ SCCJ is a nationally recognized leader in higher
education and is highly regarded for its distinguished faculty and research productivity. The School offers
undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degrees, as well as several certificate programs. The School is

Required Qualifications: A Ph.D. in criminology, criminal justice, or a related field. A distinguished record
of scholarly research and publication. Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
Desired Qualifications: A record of externally-funded research.
