ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY
Clinical Faculty Position in the
School of Criminology and Criminal Justice
The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice (SCCJ) in the College of Public
Programs at Arizona State University invites applications for a clinical faculty member to begin
Fall 2015. This is a full-time, nontenure-track, academic-year faculty position. Appointment
may be at the rank of assistant, associate, or full clinical professor.
The SCCJ is in a period of dynamic growth. We are a nationally-recognized leader in higher
education and are highly regarded for our distinguished faculty, research productivity, and topranked instructional programs, including the number-one rated online program in criminology
and criminal justice in the United States. We offer in-person and online bachelor’s and master’s
degrees in criminology and criminal justice. We also offer an in-person Ph.D. program in
criminology and criminal justice that is ranked 12th in the nation. In addition, we offer certificate
programs in homeland security and security studies. New, interdisciplinary certificate programs
in forensic investigations and in correctional counseling and rehabilitation are currently being
developed. Please visit our web site at http://ccj.asu.edu for more information about the School.
The SCCJ is conveniently located on the ASU Downtown Phoenix campus in the heart of the
sixth largest city in the United States. Our proximity to major criminal justice agencies enhances
the opportunities for instruction, practice, student internship experience, and community-based
service learning opportunities. Indeed, we seek a clinical professor to strengthen our ability to
deliver first-rate student learning experience in each of these areas. Thus, the successful
candidate will engage in on campus and online teaching, assist in the refinement and expansion
of the undergraduate and graduate internship programs, assist in the creation and implementation
of community-based service-learning opportunities, and perform other duties as assigned by the
