Application will be evaluated throughout the course using the various assessment tools.
The final exam must be written in order to obtain this credit.
Expectations: The completion of homework is an essential ingredient for success in this course. It will be checked regularly
and assessed through occasional quizzes, assignments and notebook checks. Be responsible for catching up if you miss a class,
students are responsible for getting notes from another student in the class. The course website will help you to catch up on
missed work. Always show respect for each person in the classroom.

Assessments:
If you know you will be absent, you must make prior arrangements. If you do not know you will be absent and
are away the day of a test/quiz, you must make arrangements immediately upon your return (outside of class
time) or a mark of zero will be given.
Equipment:
You must bring a pencil, eraser, paper (including graph paper), notebook, ruler and a scientific calculator to
each and every class.
Student Progress:
Students and their parents are encouraged to check the website for upcoming quizzes, tests and assignment due dates. Students
are expected share ALL assessment marks and comments with their parents. Parents are encouraged to check for mark updates
periodically on the course website (marks listed according to student number) to be aware of course progress. Mark updates may
also be emailed directly to parent’s if an email address is provided below.
