request and the possible contract emerging of it, are the "Xantic General Terms & Conditions for Airtime and Value Added
Services End-User Agreement” attached to the “Xantic Airtime and Value Added Services End-User Agreement”. If you are a
new customer, please request a copy of this Agreement from our Customer Service Centre (service@xantic.net) and return it
signed by fax/ post.
Please be aware that registered users that have not made traffic during more than 6 consecutive months may be deleted from

Explanatory notes for the completion of the Xantic Application for Inmarsat-C EXTRA
SERVICES (Sat.PC, Mailbox, Two Stage Access)
General
Registration as an Inmarsat-C user with Xantic offers you the opportunity to communicate directly between your
office and mobile C-terminals in the AOR-East, AOR-West, IOR and the POR via Xantic. This communication is
independent of the routing offered by your national telecommunications authority (ies).
Once approved, this application form will qualify the applicant to communicate from a fixed location to mobile Cterminals via telex, X.25 (PSDN), public telephone network (PSTN) or via Internet TCP/IP. Xantic reserves the
right to perform a preliminary financial check if deemed necessary.
Xantic charges no administrative handling fees. Each month the registered customer will receive a specified bill.
Following the approval of the application the registered customer will receive a USER NAME and a PASSWORD
which will identify the registered user as an officially registered member with Xantic. Together with the user name
and password, a user manual will be provided. Customers will only have access to those services for which they
are registered.
Service Descriptions
 Inmarsat-C Communication and messaging via Two-Stage-Access
Provides access, via your usual telecom provider for the terrestrial network and through Xantic for the satellite
communication, to mobile C-terminals in the all ocean regions using two Land Earth Station Ids 12 and 22. Inmarsat-C
communication is on a store and forward basis. Inmarsat-C charges are per 256bits.
 Inmarsat-C Mailbox facilities
Provides the user with a mailbox where messages may be stored and retrieved by the fixed user using a user ID and
Password. A mailbox is only for storage and retrieval of "from mobile" communication.
 Inmarsat-C SAT.PC
Software facilitating communication with the mobile terminals from a fixed location. All that is necessary is a PC, modem, and
telephone line. Cost of software package is 48 USD.
Charges
All prices expressed in US dollars (USD). Australian customers will be billed in Australian dollars (AUD).



SAT.PC software package: USD 48.-. (standard mailbox free of charge).
Mailbox facilities:
Standard size (up to 32 kilobytes, maximum number of messages: 64): free of charge.
Other sizes above standard: price subjected to availability; to be approved by product management.
Two Stage Access: subscription free of charge. Messages: normal Inmarsat C charges (USD/256 bits).
