ENTERPRISE APPLICATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST (FULL-TIME / NON-EXEMPT) JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Enterprise Applications & Database Manger this position performs a variety of professional and administrative functions related to the development, implementation and support of the community foundation’s enterprise business applications. These duties include but are not limited to end-user support and training; troubleshooting and problem resolution; business process analysis and documentation; design and development of reports; working with staff across all departments to identify and document needed and desired application enhancements; and, working closely with third-party vendors and service providers overseeing enhancements, upgrades, patches and testing of applications. This person must be able to work independently as well as with others and must be able to act as a liaison with staff at all levels and in different functional departments within the organization. This person must demonstrate a total commitment to customer service excellence. Salary range begins at $24.00 an hour. Wage commensurate with experience. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide end-user support and basic administrative tasks for all of the community foundation’s enterprise applications including but not limited to Blackbaud’s Financial Edge, Raiser’s Edge and NetCommunity and Fusion Labs’ GrantedGE and Proffer. Provide end-user assistance and training in the use of these enterprise applications to maximize staffs’ ability to carryout the organization’s core business processes. Perform troubleshooting and problem identification of business applications. Recommend and implement solutions or escalate problems to manager and software vendors as necessary. Follow through on resolution of problems to ensure they are resolved to complete satisfaction and document all problems and solutions in detail. Under manager’s supervision assist with all enhancements, upgrades, patches and testing of applications. Assist in the design and develop of financial and business information reports. Under manager’s direction perform basic administration of the donor/constituent website on NetCommunity. Under manager’s direction actively manage and periodically review user access rights and privileges to ensure appropriate assignment of security levels. Assist the Enterprise Applications & Database Manager in developing and implementing data entry standards and guidelines and ensuring adherence to these standards throughout the organization. Assist in the development of strategies to improve and enhance end-user support, incident management and problem resolution. May occasionally be required to assist in providing general IT end-user desktop support. Serve as a backup position to the Enterprise Applications & Database manager. Continue training and education programs to improve business and technical skills. Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in business or technology related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum two years experience working in applications support in a production environment. Good understanding of relational database concepts and applications. Working knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred. Familiarity with Blackbaud’s Financial Edge desirable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required. Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and/or Crystal Reports highly desirable. Familiarly with not-for-profit business processes and accounting procedures strongly preferred. Well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work affably and productively in teams. Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment with minimal supervision. Excellent customer support skills and service orientation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented with ability to multi-task. Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to approach situations and challenges with a sense of humor. May require occasional overtime and flexibility to work outside of normal business hours.
