Get to know one another and begin building trust.
Understanding the concepts for future assessment and dialogue
4. Sub-Arctic Survival Exercise (2 hrs and 30 minutes)
“Understanding yourself and others”
The DISC is helpful in understanding one another in terms of what motivates and how each receives and processes information.
Team learns the Synergistic Problem
Solving approach and applies to a simulated survival exercise. Debrief of the team performance is conducted.
An understanding of yourself and how to relate to others on the team.
Essential to Trust Building and
Dealing with Conflict.
How to solve problems as a team using both relational and analytic skills to get to the best solutions.
Helps develop atmosphere of mining conflict and solving problems together.
Debrief of nonthreatening situation leads to specific applications for the strategic planning team.

Team Preparation for Meeting : Complete DISC 2.0 Assessment by November 13.
Room Layout and Needs :
1.
Layout: round tables to seat 5 or 6 max (15-20)
2.
Flip chart (3M or tape) with markers (Black, Blue, Green)
3.
Screen with computer projector and DVD play capability with speakers hooked up ahead of time.
4.
Facilitator will be there at 7:15 to hook in laptop and make sure everything works.
