Position Summary
Works with Customers, Dealers, Sales, Marketing and operations to develop and design new, existing and/or
customized products and processes.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop, engineer, test and price new, existing and customized products. Develop new testing
methods as needed.
2. Conduct process engineering and develop manufacturing standards.
3. Build prototypes for evaluation and testing.
4. Complete necessary process documentation. Input and maintain product information in ERP
software.
5. Work with appropriate personnel to ensure optimization of materials and labor.
6. Complete all tasks necessary to ensure the successful front-end processing of custom products.
7. Serve as a liaison with Manufacturing, Account Management, Material Services, Customers and
Dealers.
8. Consult with customers to ensure their needs are understood and met with product and service
solutions.
9. Work with Sales and Marketing to establish and maintain the product development and management
schedule. Shift and adjust priorities as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
10. Visit the production floor as required to ensure accurate and complete production of products.
11. Strive to obtain departmental goals that drive continuous performance improvement.
12. Keep up to date on competitive product offerings in an effort to understand market requirements and
opportunities.
13. Create, complete, and submit appropriate reports, forms and other paperwork.
14. Work in an extremely safe manner, following all safety rules and regulations.

Qualification Requirements
1. Bachelor degree in Engineering.
2. Five years product engineering experience.
3. Knowledgeable and experienced in such manufacturing processes as woodworking, sheet metal
forming and fabrication, laser cutting, machining and assembly.
4. Familiarity with Case Systems and BOSTONtec products, including construction knowledge.
5. Working knowledge of continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing principles.
6. Understanding of cost estimating and pricing functions.
7. Good written and verbal presentation skills, including the ability to work with customer and
document and translate their requirements into product solutions.
8. Strong technical writing skills related to product specifications, instructions and testing procedures.
9. Practical experience in using Excel, Word, Outlook, AutoCad, Solid Works and other such software
applications, as well as familiarity with or the ability to learn in-house programs such as VisionCase.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, see
and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and
arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move 50 or more pounds. Occasional travel and/or
driving is required. Noise levels are typically low to moderate.
