Summary of job role: To assist relevant engineering personnel in conducting research trials and
carrying out project work to facilitate the ongoing development and enhancement of processes
and products within the Department
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Become familiar with the aluminium foundry business, and with various departments and their
functions.
2. Carry out research and development within the relevant department.
3. Organise, follow up and assist in carrying out production trials in conjunction with relevant
engineer.
4. Analyse results of production trials and write up reports.
5. Provide technical support to production departments when knowledge has been built up of the
production process.
6. Carry out specific project work under the supervision of an engineer.
7. Assist in finding solutions to problems.
8. Carry out all duties with respect for health and safety and housekeeping standards and
regulations.
9. Promptly report any accidents or dangerous occurrences.
10. Observe company policy on flexibility by moving to any other job as necessary.
11. Undertake training/retraining and train other employees as required.
12. Observe Company philosophy on proposals and continuous improvement for the betterment
of plant, methods, working environment and efficiency.
13. Observe and adhere to the Company’s Equal Opportunities Policy, ensuring that a neutral
environment is maintained.
14. Any other reasonable duties as required by management.
