This mixed-media production will follow Lombardi’s journey, attempting to lead the Green Bay Packers to the 1965 Championship. Based on the book When Pride Still Mattered—A Life of Vince Lombardi by David Mar, Eric Simonsen’s script will have you cheering from your seats. This program is for all Black Hills youths, ages 9-17, who wish to explore their artistic talent. Fall and Spring sessions are offered. Weekly classes involve children in learning the fundamentals of creating live theatre. Students improve communication & teamwork skills through memorization of scenes and monologues, games and dynamic stage exercises. This is not just for those young ones who want to perform onstage. There are many aspects to live theatre including carpentry, crafts, costumes, sound, lights, to name a few. This is a tuition-based program. Coming in December, The Cherry Street Players will present, THE BULLY PLAYS by various authors. This collections of stories focuses on issues our children are faced with, told through their eyes. December 13-15, 2013. And in April of 2014 they will present THE LITTLE MERMAID, based on the Grimm Brothers’ tale.
