John P. Scott, Jr. is a Senior Partner in the litigation law firm of Starnes Davis Florie LLP whose offices are located in Birmingham and Mobile, Alabama. He has been an active member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, having served as a Section Chair and has presented at a number of FDCC meetings. He is currently a Vice Chair of the FDCC Commercial Litigation Section. John is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. He received his B.S. from Auburn University in 1970 and his J.D. cum laude from Cumberland School of Law in 1973, where he was an Editor of The Cumberland Law Review. John also serves as a neutral arbitrator on the panel of commercial arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association and as a FINRA Dispute Resolution Arbitrator.
