Dräger plans IT outsourcing partnership with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young / Lübeck to become central location for IT center network in Northern Germany Berlin/Lübeck (ots) - Lübeck-based Drägerwerk AG intends to establish an outsourcing partnership with the management and IT consulting company Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Deutschland GmbH. Within the scope of this partnership, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will acquire the IT subsidiaries Nordac Rechenzentrumsgesellschaft mbH (data center operation) and Dräger Synematic GmbH (IT consulting) in Lübeck, and Dräger Information Technologies GmbH (operation of hospital information systems) in Berlin. On November 27, 2003, the business partners signed a memorandum of understanding. The details of the agreement will be finalized in the coming weeks. The order volume adds up to a three-digit million Euro-amount. The partners aim at a long-term, global partnership. They agreed to keep the acquisition price and further details confidential. In the future, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will provide the IT services for the Dräger group. The 230 IT employees of the three Dräger IT subsidiaries will be taken over by Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.
