CREW MEMBER ROLE DESCRIPTION

ROLE DESCRIPTION QUALITY, SERVICE, CLEANLINESS

(QSC)

Position Purpose

To deliver an exceptional customer experience every time, whilst following

McDonald’s Values and adhering to our

Policies and Procedures.

Principal Accountabilities

Your main responsibilities as a Crew

Member is to ensure that you are delivering the highest level of customer service, in a clean and safe environment. In addition to adhering to

McDonald’s Policies and Procedures, you are responsible for:

PEOPLE

 Following critical standards for raw and finished product quality, service speed, cleanliness and sanitation.

 Delivering fast, friendly and accurate service to all customers

 Performing competently without direct supervision

 Adhering to restaurant performance standards for crew stations and as per shift manager leadership

 Following directions for the implementation of new products and procedures.

 Actively supporting local store marketing and national promotions to maximise sales potential.

 Following basic people minimums (eg. uniforms, appearance, punctuality)

 Understanding the ‘how to’ and ‘why’ behind McDonald’s Policies and

Procedures

 Understanding and supporting the

Open Door policy

 Promoting teamwork to achieve restaurant goals

 Assisting others when needed while demonstrating consideration for proper procedures

 Following all behaviours as set out in the Code of Conduct in the employment agreement

 Following all reasonable instruction given by an authorised person (eg.

Crew Trainer, manager, Licensee)

 Acting as a brand ambassador for

McDonald’s at all times

CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT

 Welcoming every customer with a smile and being genuinely friendly at all times

 Attending to customers’ needs as a primary focus

 Referring difficult customer enquiries to a Manager

FOOD SAFETY / SANITATION

 Following all food safety and sanitation requirements and practices.

WORKPLACE SAFETY

 Executing all workplace safety policies and procedures and knows fire and robbery procedures

 Follows all security procedures and encourages fellow crew to do the same.

 Following guidelines and assisting in managing, reporting and recording all accidents, hazards and potential hazards.

 Reporting malfunctioning equipment

RESTAURANT SYSTEMS

 Performing all assigned tasks & procedures efficiently and in a timely manner.

 Assisting in the completion of station preparation, stocking and making sure that the station area is clean.

 Unloading supplies during deliveries.

BUSINESS RESULTS

 Being aware of the goals and targets of the restaurant. This ensures your actions contribute towards achieving them.
