Common Body of Knowledge (CBK)
Deficiency Requirement Completion
The MBA admission process includes:

1. The MBA office will evaluate the student transcripts for CBK
deficiencies
2. Deficiencies will be noted, the student will be notified, and
then directed to go to the Ivy Software site to take a preliminary exam in the appropriate deficiency area(s) (no cost).
3. If the student does not pass the preliminary exam, they will
purchase an online tutorial course from Ivy Software ($50/
subject area), study the material and take the follow up test.
4. When a student has passed a preliminary exam or online tutorial course, they should notify Rhonda in the MBA Office. Verification will then take place and the CBK deficiency will then be
removed .
NOTE: CBK DEFICIENCES MUST BE REMOVED BY THE
MBA OFFICE BEFORE A STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO
ENROLL IN MBA CORE COURSES WITH CBK PREREQUISITES.

In the program area, find Wayne State College and the appropriate assessment exam for the missing CBK
Enter preliminary exam password for exam you wish to
take (these are listed below)

Purchase of online tutorial courses:
This will need to be done if a preliminary exam
is not passed
• Go to http://shop.ivysoftware.com
• Click on graduate software
• Click on MBA programs
• Find Wayne State College
• Choose the content area courses you
are needing to take and add to cart
($50 fee/per course)
• The final exam can be taken up to
three times
• Upon passing of the online course test
notify the MBA office for verification
and the removal of the CBK requirement
