The first day at home, March

2004, in the drive- way. I bought the car from Ursula

Formata. As it was not licensed we brought it home by trailer from Midland to Swanview.

Car looked to be in good condition, but had a lot of hidden problems.

Everything that could be removed from the body was taken out. Body was stripped back to bare metal, including interior, boot, engine bay and under body. All the damaged and rusted panels were cut out and new panels where obtainable were welded in and had to manufacture some panels from scratch. I had cut the complete nose off as it was to far gone to repair, but managed to source another good second hand nose from Dangin and welded that in.

The engine was fully rebuilt, with .060 inches rebore, new pistons, Starfire rods, new Dynatech cam, Pacemaker extractors. Has roller rockers and electronic distributor. The carbies are

Standard CD175’s. Cylinder head has oversized valves, heavy springs and the bridges were cut out of the inlet ports.

The underbody was painted in undercoat and then TwoPack Black.

The engine bay was also painted in

TwoPack Black. The wiper/heater box has been painted in Lime Green

Metallic. Interior and Boot in Gloss

Black Enamel.

The car is now being made ready for exterior paint.

Gearbox has been fully rebuilt, front and rear end assemblies rebuilt and ready to fit.

Most accessories have been rebuilt and painted. Parts needed chroming have been re-done.

Now just waiting to put it all together and get on the road.

Here are a few things to think about that you probably have never thought about;

Can you cry under water?

How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?

Why do you have to "put your two cents in".. . but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?

Once you’re in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?

Why does a round pizza come in a square box?

What disease did cured ham actually have?

How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?

Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up like every two hours?

If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?

Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars? to look at things on the ground?

Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They're going to see you naked anyway.

Why is "bra" singular and "panties" plural?

Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?

If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?

Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?

If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can’t he fix a hole in a boat?

Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!

If Wyle E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?

If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?

If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?

Why did you just try singing the two songs above?

Why do they call it an asteroid when it’s outside the hemisphere, but call it a haemorrhoid when it's in your butt?

Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride; he sticks his head out the window?

Fans the big winners at Calder Park’s

Unique Cars Muscle Car Nationals

Muscle-car enthusiasts have one of the most powerful incentives to visit the 2006 Unique Cars Muscle Car Nationals at Melbourne’s Calder Park Raceway during Easter – April 14-17.

In addition to the event being one of Australia’s largest gatherings of rare and highly desirable factory-built muscle cars, Calder Park Raceway will also give away a number of fantastic prizes to fans simply for attending event, which commences with a set up day on Good Friday and followed by three-days of non-stop action on and off the track.

One Unique Cars Muscle Car Nationals visitor to Calder Park will win their very own piece of recent muscle car history - a road registered new generation Holden Monaro CV8 while another lucky visitor will score a classic ‘60s model Ford Mustang, for doing nothing more than buying a four-day ticket!

According to Bob, the selection of a Holden Monaro CV8 and Ford Mustang as the major prizes to promote this event was a logical choice.

This Unique Cars Muscle Car Nationals should not be missed by muscle car or general motoring and drag racing enthusiasts as it will feature a feast of factory-built high performance vehicles. Among the many on display and

competing in special events will be Mustangs, Camaros, Monaros, Falcon GT’s, Torana XU-1s, Charger R/Ts, along with countless other General Motors, Ford, Chrysler and Shelby models.

Another attraction to the 2006 Unique Cars Muscle Car Nationals will be a field of exotic

Historic Sports Racing Cars that will be competing during the Easter weekend. This pure ‘60s era V8 muscle car field will include the only racing Shelby GT Mustangs in Australia, two 351-powered

De Tomaso Panteras a genuine RS Porsche and a mid 60’s Iso-Grifo joined by other rare and interesting smaller engined cars that battled the V8 muscle cars in years gone by. Group C and

Group A Touring Car categories have also been invited to compete at this major event.

The Unique Cars Muscle Car Nationals Show and Shine event enables muscle-car owners to place their cars on exhibition and they will also have the opportunity to buy parts, performance components and memorabilia in Trade

Alley. A number of National circuit muscle-car rides will also be offered throughout the weekend. Entrants can also cruise the Calder Park National road circuit and Thunderdome during the event.

The weekend will also feature the annual Miss Muscle-Car Nationals competition and families have not been forgotten with children’s rides and amusements, ample catering and undercover areas.

Calder Park Raceway has even catered for the partners of one-eyed muscle car fans, who don’t share their partners’ all-consuming muscle-car passion. A number of factory-direct shopping tours and local winery tours will also be available for visitors throughout the event.

Four day passes to the 2006 Unique Cars Muscle Car Nationals are priced at $90 and are available from Calder Park

Raceway. Individual day passes are priced at $40, with children 13 years of age or under admitted free. Vehicle entrant passes (non-racing) including two adults are priced at $125.
