13. Sex outside of marriage is one of the most DISrespectful acts one human being could ever do to
another person. So unless you want to totally destroy the relationship DON’T DO IT!
Explanation: The most important thing to a GUY is RESPECT; the most important thing to a
GIRL is LOVE. When a guy disrespects a girl to point of having sex outside of marriage with
her HE CAN NO LONGER RESPECT HER, so he breaks up with her. As a youth leader it
takes an average of 4 – 6 weeks for a guy to break up with a girl after they have had sex. He
usually starts thinking about how he can get out of the relationship immediately after having sex
with a girl.
14. Having sex outside of marriage ruins your reputation. You only have one reputation guard it with
your life, once you have lost it, it’s nearly impossible to get it back.
15. For the sake of your children and grandchildren. God’s word tells us that the sins of the parents
are passed down to the 3rd and 4th generation, but the blessings are passed down to a thousand
generations. So, by staying pure until marriage you are greatly increasing the chances that your
daughter will also remain pure until marriage.
16. For the sake of the relationship - Restraint keeps love and relationships alive. Restraint doesn’t
restrict us, but actually increases our freedom. If you aren’t sexually active, consider the
freedom your choices have already granted you. You are free from worry, regret, disease,
pregnancy, complications, or taking responsibilities you’re not ready for.
17. When it comes to romance, unless you have a plan, anything can and usually does happen.
