Adrian Nemcek is an executive vice president of Motorola, and president and
chief executive officer of its Global Telecom Solutions Sector. Headquartered in
Arlington Heights, Illinois, the Global Telecom Solutions Sector provides cellular
networks and iDEN systems globally.
Prior to assuming his current position in September 2001, Adrian was senior vice
president and general manager of the Global Telecom Solutions Sector office of
strategy. In this role, Adrian was responsible for strategic business development,
business strategy, standards and intellectual property, global alliances and
investments for Motorola's wireless telecom infrastructure business.
From 1994 to 2000, Adrian had responsibility for the wireless infrastructure global
sales and market operations group, as well as heading up Motorola's GSM
(Global Systems Mobile) infrastructure systems business, headquartered in the
United Kingdom.
Adrian has been with Motorola since 1970, and has held a wide variety of
engineering and business management positions in the private mobile
communications business. In these roles, he successfully led product
development for several generations of communications products. His
responsibilities spanned new technology development, manufacturing, marketing
and worldwide business line management.
Adrian holds an M.B.A. degree from Loyola University of Chicago and received a
B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology.
Adrian also serves on the board of advisors of HP Corporation.
