Not all criminals are made alike. Most thieves lack the foresight to see past their next big score. Adrian
Tempus is not most thieves. He meticulously plotted each heist, weighing the costs and measuring every
angle before taking action. This, of course, used to take a lot of time. After lifting an honest-to-goodness
time machine from a government laboratory, however, time is now something Adrian Tempus has in
spades.
Word of his theft became legend and Adrian suddenly found himself attracting all the wrong kinds of
attention from heroes and villains alike. In time the flood of shady financial offers turned to outright
threats of violence against himself and, worse, his family. When government officials were sent to
retrieve the device, Adrian’s family was killed in the crossfire. The master thief managed to escape
through use of the chronal manipulator, vowing to steal all that was required to save his family, no
matter the cost.
Baron Blade’s impulsion tech, Thoragarian quark-drive engineering, prototype military omni-rifles – all
that and more was lifted easily enough due to the time-bending device and Adrian’s sheer
determination to save his family. Unfortunately, every small jump into the past only resulted in a
variation on the tragic loss of all he held dear. Devastated and desperate, Adrian forged a new course for
his life – if he couldn’t alter the past into something happy, then he’d change the present into something
horrific.
Armed to the teeth with stolen variations of technology from prominent heroes and villains, Adrian
Tempus, the Time Thief, seeks to make his biggest score yet – the very destiny of mankind!
Spoiler alert! – In game, when Time Thief is successful in powering up the chronal manipulator and
jumping into the past, his villain character card is flipped to Lord Tempus, ruler of Earth’s altered
timeline.
