My Favorite Film
My Favorite Film is Troy. It was based on the Greek myth. Troy was
showed in 2004, I had heard that a lot of people said that the film was
very wonderful. But I hadn’t watched it until this year. The story of Troy
is very famous in the world, so the English textbook of junior school was
included in this story.Maybe I knew the end of the story is very sad, so I
hadn’t enough courage to watch it.
After I watched this film, I was attracted by the characters and the
emotion.The story is very simple, Helen was the queen of Sparta, but she
and the prince of Troy-- Paris fall in love. And then Paris took Helen
away from the Sparta. So the war between Sparta and Troy was
started. During ten years, Troy was lost.The citizens of Troy were
almost killed by the army of Greek.
In the film, the love story of Helen and Paris is the key. Their
love was very Romantic, but the behaviors of them were very
irresponsible. Because of their irresponsible behaviors, they took the
war to the Troy.
But in the moive, my favourite characters are Achilles and
Hector. They are the true heroes. Achilles is a brave man and he had
leadship of the army, his army is the best .Although he is a hero, he
can’t escape from the power of love. He loved with the sister of
Paris--Briseis. To rescue his lover, he killed the king of his country.
But the saddest thing is his death. When he had just rescued Briseis,
he was killed by Paris. In the first, Achilles is a pitiless person, but
the love changed his heart. Not only Achilles’s death is sad, but also
Hector’s death made me moved. Hector was died because he must
protect his country.
There are a lot of things made the audience moved, the love, the
relationship and friendship.And the film has a lot of magnificent
scenes. The story and scenes shook me in view and mind.
In the movie, my favourite actor is Orlando Bloom. He is a
young and handsome actor. He act as the prince of Troy—Paris. For
his lover, he brought destroy to his country. The character he acted
made me like him, but his behaviors also made me hate him. His
performance of the film is wonderful.
This film made me understand a lot of thing. For example, the old
king forgave the Paris and he risked going to the army of enemy to bring
his son’s corpse. He is the same of the most parents. They love their
children and so on. So I like the film very much.
