Aventa Learning Final Portfolio You are to create a portfolio of the past semester course in Aventa. The portfolio is going to be calculated as your exam grade for the course semester. The DUE DATE is Friday, December 20, 2013. I will NOT accept portfolios late. If you will not be here, it is your responsibility to get it to me before December 20th. Your portfolio needs to be in a 3-ring binder or plastic cover sheets. These are to look professionally done so all the Triad Standards need to be taken into account. Your reflections need to be typed, double-spaced using 12 pt Times New Roman font. Do not wait until the last minute to put it together. Here are the requirements per your input. Name, period, date and title of assignment on the front page (2 points) Table of contents on what is included in the portfolio (3 points) o For example, Unit 2 test - Page 3; Notes Unit 4, Section 2 - Page 5 Course assignment list printed out with all completed grades entered (5 pts) o Highlight your top 2 scores o Highlight your lowest 2 scores o Highlight 2 assignments that you improved at least 10% - To show this, you will also need to print the record of attempts for these two assignments. Notes (20 points) o Pick 5 sections of notes from this semester. o Reflect on why you picked these notes. The reflection should be a paragraph long and answer the following questions: What this shows I am good at/have learned/know how to do What this shows I need to work on Two assignments from the year (10 points) o Pick 2 course assignments. If you are in a Credit Recovery course with only quizzes and exams, skip this portfolio requirement. Quizzes (FA Quiz) (10 points) o Pick 5 quizzes from this year. o Reflection on the quizzes as a whole. Answer the following questions in a one paragraph response: Why did you pick these quizzes? What do the quizzes show about the strengths and weaknesses of your learning? What do the quizzes show about your comfort level with the material? A total of three exams. (30 points) o Include exam, each retake, and a print-out of the retake history o Reflection for each test answering the following. (No more than half a page each) Why did you pick this quiz or test? How could you have done better? Why did you do well on this quiz or test? Reflection about yourself as a learner in the Aventa course (10 points) o Write a reflection at least one-half page about yourself as a learner in Aventa and answer the following questions: What did I learn? How did I learn it? What are my strengths in this subject? What do I still need to work on? What would I change about what I did? What should I remember to do again? What did I learn about myself as a learner? Reflection on the past year in Aventa. (5 points) o Write a reflection about one-half page answering the following questions: What do you think needs to be changed? What did you like? Do you feel you are prepared for traditional courses? o Remember this is NOT a bashing session of Mrs. Doty. Letter to incoming Aventa Student (5 points) o Write a one-half page long letter in proper format to an incoming Aventa student answering the following questions: What advice would you give an incoming student? If you had to take the class again: What would you remember to do again? What would you have done differently? What is the most important thing you would want an incoming student to know? There will be 2 bonus points for the overall portfolio as a whole. o Does it look professionally done? o Is everything typed, correct font, spacing, etc.? o Triad Standards (spelling, grammar, etc.) REREAD YOUR REFLECTIONS!!!
