FESTIVAL OF GREECE SOARS TO UNPRECEDENTED SUCCESS
We thank the Lord for showering His blessings upon us at Festival of Greece this past week. His light and love shined in the hearts of the all the volunteers who manned their stations and all who supported the effort. We praise and glorify His name as we smashed all previous records by approximate $30,000.
Congratulations to Ascension’s Finest.
These High School Graduates were present to receive the accolades of their parents and fellow GOYANs at a graduation Dinner held last Friday organized by Sr. GOYA. Anna Kagarakis was the Young Adult advisor Sammy Demetriou and Laki Sotiropoulos were graduates speakers and Kartalis, Panagiota
Kuvetakis and Eleni Lembesis were the delightful as they led the program. We are proud of our graduates for who they are and for their outstanding academic and service achievements. Also Thanks to Dino Yiannakopoulos for a great dinner!

June 4 th – 6:15pm Ascension Eve Vespers
Three Ascension Volunteers to Receive St. Paul Medal from Metropolitan Gerasimos at Ascension Vesper Service.
They are: George Triantafyllos, Dena Diamanti Valavanis and Dino Yiannakopoulos. This is the highest award that the Archdiocese conveys for outstanding service to the church.
June 4 th – Ascension Eve Vespers - Complimentary Volunteer Thank You Dinner:
You, your family and all those who supported and volunteered at Ascension over the years are invited to join us for
Vesper Services celebrating the Ascension of our Lord, the Nameday of our parish. It will begin at 6:15pm and the complimentary dinner will begin at 7:30pm. Metropolitan Gerasimos will lead the service assisted by Orthodox clergy of the area. Ascension Choir will chant the responses. 12 Door Prizes will also be awarded!
June 8 th – Annual Cypriots Picnic 11am-7pm
Join us for a day of good food, fellowship, music, entertainment with Cypriot dancers and dancing at Alameda
County Fairgrounds, Area “A”, Pleasanton. Free entrance! Menu includes BBQ Chicken, rice pilaf and a green salad.
