A warm word of Christian welcome to visitors who are worshiping with us today. New arrivals in
the Parish are asked to introduce themselves to a member of the Parish Council and fill out a
Welcome Card. ORTHODOX CHRISTIANS who are prepared spiritually are invited to receive
Holy Communion. Visiting Christians may receive the Blessed Bread (Antidoron) at the
conclusion of the Liturgy. Visitors and parishioners are encouraged to join together for the Coffee
Hour sponsored by the Ascension Philoptochos Society immediately following Divine Liturgy in
the Community Center.

333Service of Forgiveness Vespers Sunday, February 25th, 7 p.m. Come usher the beginning of
Great Lent at this beautiful and powerful service. See the church transformed from light to darkness
as we begin our spiritual journey of repentance, confession, fasting, acts of mercy Holy Communion
and prayer.
Sing at Friday Night Salutations Members of our community, young and old are invited to sing at
the Friday Salutations during Great Lent. Meet in the Education Building at 6:45 p.m. For more

Sunday of Orthodoxy March 4th One Divine Liturgy Sunday School Students bring your
favorite Icon All students are encouraged to bring an Icon from home to participate in the
Sunday of Orthodoxy Procession. Sunday School will follow after the Procession.
Parenting 101 continues following the Sunday School Divine Liturgy in the Conference
Room.

Adult Bible Study Meets Tuesdays All are invited to attend the Adult Bible Study program

Lend a Helping Hand!! Alameda County Community Food Bank Barrels
are located throughout the Facility. Please give generously to the poor and hungry of Alameda
County. The following are the top ten non-perishable items for donation:
Infant Formula, Baby Food, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruit, Beans,
Peanut Butter, Canned Meats (such as Tuna) , Rice, Pasta, Oatmeal, Cereals.

