Summary: Under the direction of the President, the Director of Technology and Scientific Affairs is responsible for technical aspects of operations, both microbiological and chemical, projects and studies, internal verifications and external customer requests. They will also have the highest degree of authority regarding technical issues. This position will have supervisory responsibilities of Customer Service Specialists and Cherney College trainers and ensure that we meet/exceed customer expectations for timely delivery of quality product utilizing good general business practices that are in full compliance with any state or federal requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned): 60% Proactively and reactively leads the company through technology Ensures customers technical requirements are being communicated and met in a timely manner Direct involvement with customers, advising and consulting as necessary. May frequently require on-site visits and travel. Requires a BS in Microbiology or Food Science and 10-15 years’ experience in related roles with management experience. Food manufacturing experience required. 2. Prior food testing experience across multiple matrices 5. Demonstrated expertise in leadership development for strengthening team 6. Strong track record of result-producing activities 7.
