PROFESSOR, DEPARTMENT OF PRIVATE LAW- AC/8/387/11– (2 POSTS) - (R&T)
Applicants must be holders of a Ph.D. degree in Law or its equivalent from a recognized university.
They must have at least ten (10) years’ teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate
degree level, three (3)of which must be at Associate Professor level. They must have supervised at
least three (3) PhD and five (5) Masters students, at least six (6) publications in refereed journals or
3 publications in refereed journals and 3 chapters in scholarly books since the last promotion.
The successful candidates will be expected to provide academic leadership, teach at both
undergraduate and postgraduate students, organize and guide research programs, and undertake
further research in their areas of specialization. They will also be expected to participate in School
and College activities such as curriculum development among other administrative duties.
SENIOR LECTURER, SCHOOL OF LAW, NAIROBI CAMPUS-1 POST AC/8/388/11–
(R&T)
Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in Law from a recognized university. They should have
at least five (5) years teaching experience at both undergraduate and post graduate degree levels and
must have supervised at least three (3) Masters Students to completion. They must have experience
in research as evidenced by publications in refereed journals. In addition, they should have at least
four (4) publications in refereed journals or two (2) publications in refereed journals and two (2)
chapters in scholarly books since last promotion.
The successful candidates will be expected to teach and supervise at both undergraduate and
postgraduate students and undertake research in their areas of specialization
LECTURER, SCHOOL OF LAW (MOMBASA&PARKLANDS CAMPUSES) – 5 POSTSAC/8/389/11- (CHSS)
Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in Law from a recognized university. Those who
possess a Masters degree in relevant field and have at least three (3) years teaching experience at
University level and have registered for a PhD degree in Law will also be considered. In both cases,
they should have research experience, with at least two (2) publications in refereed journals or two
chapters in scholarly books since last promotion. They should show evidence of continuing
research activity.
The successful candidates will be expected to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate students
and undertake further research in their areas of specialization.

TUTORIAL FELLOW (ENTOMOLOGY& PEST CONTROL), DEPARTMENT OF
PLANT SCIENCE & CROP PROTECTION – 1 POST -– AC/8/390/11-(CAVS)
Applicants must be holders of a Masters degree from a recognized university in the following
disciplines: - Crop Protection, Entomology and Pest Management. They should show evidence of
having registered for a PhD degree with research focus on Entomology and Pest Management.
The successful candidates will be expected to assist in teaching and supervising undergraduate
students.
TUTORIAL FELLOW, SCHOOL OF MATHEMATICS – 1 POST -– AC/8/391/11-(CBPS)
Applicants must be holders of a Masters degree in Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or
Statistics from a recognized university. They should show evidence of having registered for a PhD
degree. Those with experience in teaching and research will have an added advantage
TUTORIAL FELLOW, DEPARTMENT OF BIOCHEMISTRY – 1 POST -–
AC/8/392/11-(CHS)
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following:Biochemistry, MBChB, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Dental Surgery or Bachelor of
Veterinary Medicine from a recognized university and also a Master of Science in Biochemistry.
They must have registered for a PhD degree in Biochemistry. Those who have teaching experience
at university level and postgraduate research in Plant Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology will have an
added advantage.
TUTORIAL FELLOW, SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS – 2 POSTS -– AC/8/393/11-(CHSS)
Applicants must be holders of a Masters degree in Economics from a recognized university. They
should show evidence of having registered for a PhD degree in Economics.
The successful candidates will be expected to assist in teaching undergraduate students in Financial
Economics in addition to core areas (Theory & Quantitative) of Economics.
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT I – FINANCE DEPARTMENT (4 POSTS) - AC/8/394/11(R&T)
Applicants must be qualified Accountants with CPA (K), who are members of ICPAK in good
standing. Candidates must also be in possession of a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Management
or Finance. Candidates who possess Masters Degree in Management/Finance will have an added
advantage. They must have gained at least seven (7) years relevant experience at a senior level in a
large organization. Candidates are expected to have Information Technology skills and be proficient
in Computerized Accounting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementation of sound accounting
systems. The candidates will be expected to provide financial, accounting or audit reports in the
areas under his/her jurisdiction. He/she will be responsible for interpretation of financial policies
and will be expected to carry out research and training in Financial Management as well as
developing Accounting staff.
This is a senior position and to succeed one must have the ability to supervise, excellent
communication and interpretation skills. The candidates should have a high level of integrity and
ability to work with multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT II – FINANCE DEPARTMENT (4 POSTS) - AC/8/395/11(R&T)
Applicants must be qualified Accountants with CPA (K), who are registered members of ICPAK, in
good standing. Candidates must also possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management or
Finance. They must also have five (5) years relevant experience at a Senior Management level.
Candidates are required to have Information Technology skills and be proficient in Computerized
Accounting.

Applicants must be holders of CPA III certificate. Candidates who possess a Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Management or Finance will have an added advantage. They must have at least five (5)
years experience at the level of Assistant Accountant grade CD or equivalent. Applicants should
have Information Technology skills including Word, Data Processing and Spreadsheet.
The successful candidates will report to Senior Accountant and will be responsible for bank
reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, reconciliation of students’ accounts and perform other
accounting functions as assigned by the Senior Accountant.

INTERNAL AUDITOR GRADE EF, INTERNAL AUDIT - AD/8/397/11-(R&T) - READVERTISEMENT Please note that those who had applied vide AD/12/181/10 need not

Applicants must be holders of either of the following qualifications: A business related degree and a CPA III certificate.
 CPA III and eight years experience in Internal Audit of a large organization
 CISA, CPA qualification part and twelve (12) years experience in Internal Auditing
in a large and busy organization
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following: Review internal control systems and report any weaknesses,
 Report on systems and procedures on issues of economy and effectiveness,
 Assist in planning phase on assigned segment of work,
 Be responsible for allocated audit assignment and provide reports thereof,
 Undertake special audit investigation and report findings,
 Execute detailed audit procedures including reviewing transactions, documents, reports and
policies and procedures for accuracy and effectiveness
 Carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time.
HALLS OFFICER GRADE EF, HALLS DEPARTMENT-5 POSTS-AD/8/398/11-(SWA)
Applicants should be holders of a Bachelors degree or equivalent and a Postgraduate training in
Institutional Management or its equivalent. They must have at least 3 years working experience as
Assistant Halls Officer Grade CD or equivalent position. They must be computer literate.
The successful candidates will be deployed in any of the eleven (11) operating strategic management
units (SMUs) within the Students Welfare Authority. Duties include ensuring effective and efficient
processing of accommodation issues within the Halls of residence. The position requires an officer
who can work in a challenging environment and also work at odd hours.
ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT GRADE CD, FINANCE DEPARTMENT - AD/8/399/11(R&T)-ADVERTISEMENT Please note that those who had applied vide AD/2/19/10 need

Applicants must be holders of CPA III certificate. Candidates who possess a Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Management or Finance will have an added advantage. They must have at least three (3)
years experience in the field of accounting at the level of Accounts Assistant or equivalent.
Applicants must have computer skills including Word Processing, Data Processing and Spreadsheet.
The successful candidates will report to Accountant and duties will entail assisting in bank
reconciliation, reconciliation of students’ accounts and performing other accounting functions as
assigned by the Accountant.

TECHNOLOGIST GRADE ABC, FIELD STATION-AD/8/400/11- (1 POST) - (CAVS)
Applicants should be holders of a KCSE C with credits in relevant subjects and an Ordinary
Diploma in Animal Production or its equivalent and a Certificate in Artificial Insemination (AI)
from a recognized institution. They must be computer literate. They must have at least three (3)
years working experience in any of the following areas: Beef and Dairy Production with working knowledge of diseases and pests;
 Livestock management with a focus on safe use of pesticides;
 Practical knowledge of managing a breeding, beef and dairy herd
 Knowledge of zero grazing production systems.
The successful candidates will be expected to assist both undergraduate and postgraduate students in
their laboratory practicals among other duties.
ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT GRADE AB, FINANCE DEPARTMENT (10 POSTS) AD/8/401/11-(R&T)
Applicants should possess CPA III with a minimum Grade of C+ in KCSE with credit C in
Mathematics and English. In addition they should be computer literate with three (3) years
experience as Accounts Clerk grade IV or equivalent qualification.
Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Management or Finance will have an added
advantage. Those with CPA II and also have worked for at least five (5) years experience at grade
IV will also be considered.
DRIVER GRADE A, DIRECTOR’S OFFICE, STUDENTS’ WELFARE AUTHORITY1 POST –AD/8/402/11- (SWA)
Applicants should be holders of at least KCSE level of education or equivalent and a clean valid
driving license classes ABCE and PSV, a certificate in First Aid. They must have at least five (5)
years satisfactory previous driving experience as a Driver Grade IV or equivalent , have a clean
record of service, have good public relations and be able to work outside working hours.
Please also note that the post is on a three (3) year contract terms and is renewable on
mutual agreement.
