Chinese 1 Midterm – Writing (Take home) Portion 50 points
Please write a letter to Wang Peng or Li You in Chinese characters about yourself. You
must include the following:
 Greeting
 Your name
 Your age
 Your birthday
 Your nationality
 Languages you speak
 How many people are in your family
 Who is in your family
 Parents occupations
 Your occupation
 Your likes & dislikes in terms of the following:
 Food
 Music
 Movies
 TV
 What do you like to do on the weekend
 Invite either Wang Peng or Li You to do something with you
 Salutation
The letter must be neatly handwritten or typed in Simplified Chinese Characters. You
may not use a translator. Use of a translator will result in a 0. You may use a
dictionary or your textbook/class notes.
Chinese 1 Midterm -Oral Examination
I will be pulling each of you outside for an oral interview during exam week. I will be
asking you questions about yourself, including but not limited to, your name, age,
birthday, family members, occupations, what you’re studying in school, your likes
and dislikes.
