Youth Sexual Integrity Program Randolph Pregnancy Care Center Research shows that parents have more impact on their child's sexual decisionmaking than any other influence—including that child's peers! (Medical Institute) Parents are the primary sex educator in their child's life and play the 'KEY' role in influencing behaviors and attitudes. But what do you say, and when? How do you raise a standard in your home while the rest of the world is trying to tear it down? The WORTH program is preparing your student to see the value of choosing sexual integrity and abstinence until marriage. But how will they navigate the next five, ten or fifteen years of sexual pressure? Is there something you can do to help strengthen this commitment with values and conviction that will last a lifetime? The WORTH Team (Care Center trained volunteers ages 18-30) will do all we can to help your child see the value of this commitment, but parents must take an active role to make a lasting mark. WORTH is a sexual integrity program for youth in middle school and high school. It encourages, inspires and challenges students to understand their worth and value as young men and women and to choose a life of sexual integrity in attitude and action, so that they can have a healthy life and future marriage/family. Topics include: myths about sex and the source of our worth, the difference between love and lust, responsibilities, benefits of sexual integrity and consequences of casual sex, boundaries, restored virginity, etc. Abstinence (emotional and physical) is communicated as the only healthy and safe lifestyle. WORTH also teaches the hope and availability of restored virginity, which is the decision to stop sexual activity (if already involved or have experienced sexual abuse) until marriage. It’s never too late to know your worth and to start making better, healthier choices! WORTH encourages parents in communicating with their children and teens about healthy sexuality.
