Exhibition Proposal: People’s Gallery
MAKING YOUR REQUEST AND EARLY PLANNING

The People’s Gallery at Northampton Museum & Art Gallery is an exhibition space
reserved for Northamptonshire community and educational groups. There is no charge to
exhibit in the Gallery, however you will need to complete this exhibition proposal form to
apply for space.
The Museum receives many applications for exhibition space and we try to draw up a
varied programme. Once received, we will discuss your proposal at our monthly Public
Programme meeting. We look at each proposal in relation to our aims and target
audiences as listed in the Public Programme Policy, which we can send you upon request.
If your application is successful, we will let you know via email or letter. As demand is high,
we may not be able to offer a slot within the next 12 months.
Northampton Borough Council retains overall control of the exhibition: the Museum
reserves the right to change anything and to veto any exhibits and texts.
Please be aware that it will be your responsibility to fully install and take down the
exhibition. Museum staff may be able to assist if it is prearranged.
