Kye Adams Kye Adams was born in Seoul, Korea in 1958. He spent his childhood surrounded by the colorful landscape. He was always fascinated by the beauty in the variety of nature which kindled his desire to create a texture for the landscape. Adams credits his greatest influences to the natural world and the creative thinkers that have inspired him such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Caravaggio and Vermeer. Adams methodology is one of discarding and in turn, reinventing the old to fashion something new and distinctive. These elements of texture and change are always relevant in Adam’s work. Whether he is rendering a misty marsh or a the quietude of a Tuscan vineyard, Adam’s delicate hand calls to mind a classic quality in life. Thoughtful gradations of texture and color between the canvas and the surface fuse to cultivate a refined overall impact of classical beauty with a distinctively modernized touch. Adams graduated with a BFA from Hong-ik University. He maintains a membership with The Korean Fine Art Association and the Korean Oil Color Painting Association.
