Grand Knight’s Message
Please bring your insight, ideas, knowledge, and stories.
We have not chosen all 12 themes yet, so make sure you
email me what themes you would like to build on. This
Series will be lead by our Lector Lonny Goelz.
Gentlemen, let me personally thank all of you for the open
arms I have received in being installed as your new Grand
Knight in July. As we had nearly 70 members, family, and
parish show their support for the new officers at our
installation on the 9th. This event is something that means a
great deal to me. In moving forward I was blessed with
showing our appreciation to our Past Grand Knight, SK Tim
Gardner for the path he has laid down to lead our council to
such a great start.
Please help and keep the momentum going. Keep
the calls coming with your ideas, advice, support, and ideas.
It really makes the difference, please take another look at the
agenda.

Once a Knight Always a Knight . . . Every
member is in good standing! If any member for any
reason has fallen behind in your annual dues, they
have been waived for the prior year. If you wish to
donate the $10.00 cost your council made to keep you
in good standing that is appreciated.
This is the Once a Knight Always a Knight concept. If
you are have difficulties or disabled we offer
assistance in paying your dues as well. For our
members convenience we also accept Master Card
and Visa.
Share your enthusiasm for the council.
Have a positive attitude and body language
Be visible during events.
Promote our council spiritually.
Be involved with the youth.
Follow-up!
Open Door Policy, In my experience most
problems can and should be solved in discussion, and I
encourage that first effort to solve a problem. But, an
open door policy means that you may also discuss
your issues and concerns with the next level. No
matter how you approach your problem, complaint, or
suggestion, you will find support at all levels of our
council. Please don’t hesitate to take advantage of
this!
Monthly Theme, Each month will have a theme to
strengthen our council. The Prayer to St. Michael is the
theme for August 2015.
Our Officers Installation Dinner Special
Thanks to our District Deputy, Warden, and Prior
Grand Knight for leading the event. To our Ladies
Auxiliary and the wonderful job in getting the hall
ready, thank you. Not to forget the Knight and Family
members that stepped up to the plate in covering areas
that needed it, including Chuck Chukri two sons that
served for the event at the last minute. This made the
event special and seemed to go off without a hitch.
Sick and Decease, Please remember them in your
prayers

average hand up program, and the beneficiaries of the
programs work for everything they get. Please
consider working at the next event. Please make sure
you register on line with Habitat before the event.
Knight of the Month, Help us congratulate Tim Roach.
Brother Tim has been a valuable asset to our council. Tim
has been a key member that has helped so many events
happen smoothly. He is the first to step up in helping put out
a fire if something needs covering. Even when Tim was
unexpectedly without a vehicle he was able to find a ride to
make sure he was on the front line to help the council. This
display of awesomeness is what makes Brother Tim Knight
of the month for July 2015.

looking for “A Few Good Men” This is our largest
and most consistent money income for our council,

more brothers working together. We need more
participation, lets do a better job of not just showing
our appreciation for this blessing, but bringing home
the Bacon! My number is 813-846-9614.

LADIES AUXILIARY NOTES
The first meeting with our new slate of officers went well on July 3rd and I am looking forward to working closely with
these ladies and the Council as the year progresses. The first order of business was decorating D Hall and attendance
at the Installation of Officers for Council 11295. It was a very nice evening with dinner catered by Olive Garden
following the ceremony. Later this month, we will decorate D Hall again for the dinner after the 4th Degree Assembly
Installation. Next, together with the Council, we will determine what is needed and plan for events scheduled in the
next few months.
In August, we look forward to welcoming two new members to the Auxiliary: Sherrie Oracion and Nancy Faucette.
Sadly one of our charter members, Eileen McKernan, has had to resign. We will miss her friendly presence and her
creative ideas.
Please keep all of the special intentions of our ladies spoken at the last meeting in your prayers and special prayers
of sympathy go out to Joan, her husband, Gerry and their family on the loss of Joan’s mother on July 11.
I hope all of you are having a wonderful summer. May God keep you safe if you are traveling and bless you in
whatever you do.
Blessings,
Pat
