Due Thursday December 6th Name_________________ Feudalism Project Choose an option through which to demonstrate your knowledge of Feudalism All projects will demonstrate knowledge of how Feudalism worked, including the Manor System, Vassals and Lords, Oaths of Fealty and Duty. Projects can be individual or group projects (requires Mr. Brackney’s approval for group) Do a theatrical interpretation of the Feudal System to be performed in front of the class. - Must be scripted and rehearsed (script must be turned in) - Must be performed in costume with props - Must last 5-10 minutes Create a video that describes the Feudal System, to be shown to the class - Must be scripted and storyboarded (both must be turned in) - May be live action, or some kind of animation (Machinima, etc. . .) Paint or draw at least 3 scenes using symbolism and color to enhance the meanings. -Must emphasize important ideas and themes of Feudalism. -Must use color and symbolism to demonstrate and illuminate meaning. Compose an original song about Feudalism -Must mention at least one character. -Both music and lyrics must be original. -Must be recorded. (May be performed live as well.) Write a short collection of poetry about feudalism, as seen from the point of view of various players in feudal society (serfs, vassals, knights, lords, the monarch) -Must include at least three original poems. -Poems must have multiple stanzas (at least 3) with at least 6 lines per stanza Choose your own creative way to demonstrate your knowledge of the Odyssey. (Requires prior approval from Mr. Brackney) Reflection Paper Along with your creative project you will need to turn in a reflection of at least 300 words. The reflection should follow MLA formatting. This reflection should include the following information: Due Thursday December 6th Name_________________ Explanation of your artistic choices. (Why you did what you did…) Explanation of how feudalism, the manor system, fealty and duty are represented in your project What you learned through the process of creating your project.
