Goschenhoppen Historians Manuscript Collections Most of the manuscript materials held by the Goschenhoppen Historians are stored in the vault. There is also a significant amount of material upstairs in the library, and a few items framed or on display in museum exhibitions. The Historical Society of Pennsylvania’s Hidden Collections Initiative for Pennsylvania Small Archival Repositories (HCI-PSAR) was a project whose goal was to make better known and more accessible the important but often hidden archival collections held by the many small, primarily volunteer-run historical organizations in the Philadelphia area. The project was funded by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. On November 8 and December 13, 2011, HCI-PSAR project staff surveyed the archival collections of the Goschenhoppen Historians, Inc. (GH). The surveyors identified fourteen “collections” held by GH.
