Purchasing Policy No. 3 Exhibit 1, Page 1 of 2 62-0760 (Rev 11/00) Purchasing Department CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT Contract Opportunity Announcement Professional Service Contract Construction Contract X Service Contract Material Requirement Other Contract Opportunity Title: Estimated Contract Value (Range): On-call Support for Land Surveying Services RFI 6263 $1-10 million Work Location: PG&E Service Area Deadline: March 20, 2013 Contract Opportunity Description: The purpose of this RFI is to identify and seek information from companies interested in providing on-call land surveying support services throughout PG&E’s service territory for the next three to five years. Specifically, we are looking to add a number of new to a new Master Service Agreement list so our Land Department can issue Contract Work Authorizations for projects requiring additional land surveying support as needed. The work may include, but is not limited to route surveys, property surveys, control surveys, engineering surveys, deformation surveys, planimetric and topographic surveying and mapping including overhead and underground facilities, linear feature staking, photogrammetric mapping, remote sensing, and LiDAR scanning. Contractors may be required to provide plan and profile drawings, topographic mapping, aerial photography, three-dimensional models, Records of Surveys, FERC and law investigation exhibits, legal descriptions and plats, and possibly condemnation packages. Individual firms will not be expected to provide all of these services or offer support throughout our entire service territory. Our intent is to create a list of regionally qualified candidates comprised of small local firms and larger organizations so we are able to meet our supplier diversity goals while ensuring that sufficient staffing exists to cover the breadth of expertise and depth of staffing we are seeking for future projects. PG&E is also very interested into how application of new technologies can reduce overall costs for surveying utility facilities and right of ways. Successful firms will need to demonstrate high quality accurate survey work at the lowest possible cost to PG&E utilizing unitized rates.
