The role of the Associate Nurse Manager in the Special Care Nursery is to provide quality client-focussed care to the neonate, their family and carers utilising a holistic family centred approach. The Associate Nurse Manger will act as a role model and practice within the core values of Mercy Health. Overall, Associate Nurse Manager will form an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be required to provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers, while upholding a high level of professionalism. The Associate Nurse Manager will act as management support to the Nurse
Manager. Associate Nurse Manger will Manage in conjunction with the Nurse Manger, to develop and support Special Care
Nursery Staff both Managerially and Clinically.
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency ( AHPRA), Division1 holds a current practising certificate
Extensive recent experience as a Grade 2 Registered Nurse / Midwife
Extensive experience in Level 2 / 3 Neonatal Nursery experience
Demonstrated managerial, clinical and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability in and skills in neonatal resuscitation
Demonstrated ability in neonatal drug calculations
Commitments to achieving organisational objectives, flexibility and responsiveness to organisational needs
Commitment to promoting education within the unit
