PUPIL PREMIUM SPENDING 2013-2014 Crowlands Primary School Pupil Premium Crowlands Primary School receives a Pupil Premium grant from the government. The allocation is based on the number of pupils who have been entitled to free school meals in the last six years and for ‘looked after’ children who have been in care continuously for the last six months. Schools are required to publish a summary of how their Pupil Premium has been spent and what impact this has made in supporting students. Details of the Pupil Premium spending and impact for Crowlands Primary for the previous and current financial/academic years are outlined below. Impact & benefits to pupils Funding Teachers / TA’s to support small groups of children in Maths / Literacy / Language skills. Pupils enjoy the chance to work in a small group and our school data shows that accelerated progress was made. Subsidise or fund extra-curricular opportunities so that pupils can participate with their peers. Pupils who are supported in this way were usually unaware that this happened, but the benefits to them and their families are huge. It leads to increased self-esteem, better relations between home and school and of course access to activities that would normally be out of reach. Subsidise school visits / trips. Pastoral Support made available for pupils with emotional difficulties. PUPIL PREMIUM SPENDING 2013-2014 The pupils concerned find this beneficial as they are supported by someone from the Behaviour Support Service – not a member of the school staff.
