2016 Mass Intentions – LAST CALL!!!!Since the earliest days, Holy Mass has been offered for the dead.
Our prayers, but especially Holy Mass, assist those who have passed on to attain heaven. Also since its
earliest days, the Church has offered Mass for the intentions of the living, especially the sick. We are now
accepting Mass requests for the calendar year 2016. Many of you ask for Masses to be said regularly for
deceased loved ones, and some ask that these Masses be offered on specific dates. We do our best to
accommodate your requests but ask your patience and understanding in this regard. Since scheduling begins
in mid-October, it is important that requests be received by October 1, 2015. If you would like to be informed
of the dates and times of your scheduled requests please include a self-addressed stamped envelope, a phone
number or email address so that we can contact you. There are some openings between now and the end
of year if you are wanting to schedule Mass Intentions for your loved ones. The recommended stipend
per mass is $10.00. To check availability, call the rectory office at 302-654-5519 or email
stannschurch1@verizon.net. Thank you and God bless you.
Share In the Spirit – For those of you who were unable to participate last weekend, you may still contribute to
the Share in the Spirit collection for tuition assistance. Please drop your envelope in the collection basket or at
the parish office. If you have misplaced your envelope, extras can be found at the rear of the church. This
important collection supports the mission and ministry of our Catholic schools by assisting parents who seek a

appreciated.

Ackerman at joeshirl7@comcast.net or 384-7513.
Religious Vocations –Today’s readings remind us
that marriage is more than a social contract; indeed
it is God’s holy plan for most people. Some others
He calls to the priesthood and/or religious life. The
key to cooperating with God’s plan is to try to
discern where He is calling you. If you think that,
call or write Fr. David Kelley, Diocesan Directory of
Priestly and Religious Vocations at 573-3113 or
vocations@cdow.org.
Just a reminder that the Rectory and School are
closed on Monday, October 12th for Columbus
Day. Daily mass that day is at 9am only.
