Job Description Job Title: Project Manager Submit Resume to: Recruiting@spe.org SUMMARY The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the full life cycle of assigned projects including planning, analysis, design, execution, delivery, and support. The PM will be required to manage different software solutions that may require more than one application to deliver the project. As well as, managing more than one project at a time. The PM must be able to manage projects that will be assigned to them. The PM will be responsible for engaging the business units in defining scope, identifying risks, determining budget, and developing a timeline that meets the business needs. The PM will also work with the Development Manager, QA Manager, and Network Manager to ensure resources are scheduled for their projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide project management and leadership on all aspects of assigned projects. Work with business managers to create project requests to clearly define estimate, scope, and high-level requirements Manage project teams to ensure implementations occurs within the agreed upon timeframes and budget, and track metrics on estimates vs. actual performance Ensures all assigned projects have defined processes, business requirements, technical design, project plan, testing schedule, and implementation plan Mitigate project issues and properly escalated issues to obtain resolution Provide verbal and written communication to business units regarding project status and progress. Utilize best practices for engaging stakeholders, and defining processes and requirements that ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security of SPE’s systems and data. Ensure customer acceptance by overseeing testing and training to help ensure projects are accepted by business units. Work with other project managers to provide continuous process improvements regarding project management within SPE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 2+ years of experience in managing web-based project solutions. Experience with Java, .Net, or technologies a plus Strong ability to create positive business relationships with business units and vendors Working knowledge of SDLC and Scrum methodology Detail oriented; take ownership of tasks, manage through completion, keep management apprised of progress. Build project plans Excellent communication, interpersonal, work effectively with business users, vendor, and peers Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment Ability to travel around 10% Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Able to manage within a cross functional team environment Job Description EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university plus at least 3 - 5 years related work experience.
