Lester welcomes FYP students to explore the following with him:
 Dramatic expression, e.g.
- video drama (scriptwriting, directing);
- live theatre / performance (multimedia, cyberspace, mixed
reality…);
- interactive movie (video, animation, SMS, web…);
- voice & sound media (radio drama, web radio…);
- animation / puppetry / short story;
- writing full-length movie script;
 Artistic expression of social / cultural research, e.g.
- documentary video;
- performance / interactive installation;
 Scholarly thesis on, e.g.
- art & technology, education, culture…
* All projects carry a written report / writing component.
* Where visual arts means are sought, digital or technology
component such as programming interface, electronics or robotics is
required.

 Artists Book : hand-made and electronic versions using text
and images.
In this category, the project requires the student
to make an artist book on a theme / subject of
their choice in two versions: a hand-made one
and an electronic version. A transition from the
analogue to digital format should be visible.
There should be a research theoretical text
component which accompanies the creative
process.

materialist film).
