In 1960s the term hypertext was introduced.

In 1989 Tim Berners-Lee proposed the WWW
In 1991 MPEG-1 was internationally approved and then later on MPEG-2,
MPEG-3, MPEG-4 & further MPEGs introduced.
In 1992 JPEG was accepted as an international format for image compression.
The first DVD video was introduced in 1996
