Reject flow meter: The disturbances created in the flow/velocity profile are maximum in this case. It is best recommended to provide an elbow immediately after the reject control valve followed by the 10 D straight run. In case the outlet is likely to be opened to atmosphere immediately after the sensor, mount the sensor in a vertical plane with entry from the bottom. sensor cap Flow Direction fitting 10 D 5D 10 D Incase of larger line sizes without the flow straighteners, the following straight lengths must be provided 5D 10 D Rej.Valve Rej.Valve Sensor/Indicator mounting guidelines: 10 D 5D 15 D 5D Straight pipe 20 D The unique paddle wheel design of the sensor permits it to be mounted in any plane..i.e. the unit can be installed in vertical as well as horizontal piping. Insert the blind plug supplied along with the meter in the fitting and flush the line with water. Depressurize the line, remove the blind plug and insert the flow sensor gently. Ensure that the sensor O-rings are in place and slightly greased. Push the sensor in till the threaded cap touches the T fitting. Before tightening the cap ensure the direction of the sensor is proper. Incase of panel mounted units the arrow on the sensor should point in the direction of flow. In case of field mounted units the sensor must be mounted such that the display becomes parallel to the pipe line. Start tightening the cap by hand. For ensuring the sensor in correct position a male/female locking arrangement has been provided in the sensor and the fitting respectively. While tightening the sensor cap, by a slight angular motion, one can get an idea of proper locking properly locked sensor/fitting will not have any angular motion. VATS BATCHER A050 HOW TO SET THE OUTPUT/BATCH COUNT: 9 10 The vats batcher consists of the following three parts i.e. 1.The flow sensor 2. The electronic module 3. Installation fitting 10%------------100% Flow sensor: Refer JT 121 data sheet SET 100 SET 10 SET 1 SET Electronic module: The module basically consists of an LED bar graph of 10 LEDs, which indicates the % of the output (set), completed. Once the desired output is attained the unit shows all the ten LEDs ON and the relay inside the unit gets energized for 2 seconds. The relay output is fed to the auto valve actuator to initiate the regeneration process. Since the unit is used to initiate regeneration process, the unit must be set for AUTO reset mode i.e. the batcher would automatically reset after giving a 2 second pulse. The four LEDs below the bar graph are used in the setting of the batch count. LED bar graph SET Procedure: Press SET key. The mode press the ENT Technical Specifications: ENT SET Membrane key pad Key , the SET 100 SET LED will start blinking. To be able to enter the program key till the first FIVE LEDs of the BAR GRAPH light up. Press LED would start glowing, press the hundred’s digit of the output in m3. Press Spply: 230 VAC Display: % output with a 10 LED BAR GRAPH Programming: Using the front panel membrane key pad. Output: Potential free contact @ 5 A at 230 VAC Auto or Manually resettable. Input: From VATS flow sensor Least Count: 1 m3 (unless specified otherwise) Protection: IP 65 Gland: PG7 Maximum Set point: 999 m3 (unless specified otherwise) sensor Relay output Pole/NO Rear wiring connection Press SET ENT key, the key to set the 10 LED will start glowing. Key to set the ten’s digit of the output in m3. Press LED will start Glowing. Press press ENT SET SET key, the ENT 1 key to set the unit’s digit of the output in m3. key. All the LEDs will switch off except the SET LED which will stop blinking indicating that the BATCHER is in service. NOTE: If the batcher is to be set in an auto-reset mode then all Leds must be ON, where as if only 50% of LEDs are kept ON then the unit would operate on a MANUAL RESET MODE .i.e. once the desired quantity of the liquid passes through the meter, the relay would get energised. Press ENT key to RESET the Relay. In an Auto reset mode the relay would get reset after 2 seconds. For setting any digit, the SET key is pressed such that the number of LEDs that glow in the bar graph 0 to 9 correspond to the value of the digit. During normal service the Last LED of the Bar graph would keep blinking whenever flow takes place. The % completion of the output would get displayed in the BAR GRAPH. Power Supply For setting the relay mode auto/manual, press set key and enter a password of nine. Press enter key. The bar graph will either show all LEDs ON(auto reset) or 5 LEDs ON (manual reset).Press set key to toggle to the required setting. Press enter key. Relay MODE is set.
