Great ideas for Christmas!! Teacher Training Mrs. Melvie and Mrs. Jessica attended the MusicWorks Unlimited Dance Teacher Workshop in Atlanta, GA. We are excited to bring back lots of new music, teaching materials and ideas! Christmas Parade We will participate in the Christmas Parade. It is Sunday, December 5th at 3:00. Must be lined up by 2:30. I need a trailer and someone to drive it. Also, if anyone would like to volunteer to decorate our trailer please let me know. I have two large wooden Nutcrackers to use. Solo, Duet, Trio Deadline for solo, duet, trio sign-up is January 27th. But if you are thinking about doing one, please fill out a form as soon as possible. We are starting to pull together the line-up for the recital and need to know of any possible extra dances. We will try to make these extra dances fit into the “Calendar” theme. Students must have 5 years of dance or more. Recital & Costume Information Each year dancers are invited to participate in a fully costumed production showcasing the year’s accomplishments. The recital fee is $25 per student or $35 per family. This fee covers the rental of the auditorium, lights, backdrops, music, programs, etc. This fee is non-refundable and is due April 15th. Tickets are not required for the recital and there is no admission charged! Participation in the recital is not mandatory. Participating students are required to attend dress rehearsal and all scheduled performances. Any conflicts must be discussed with the director. Students performing in the recital will have to purchase a recital costume for each class they are taking. Preschool classes will perform one dance. The teacher will decide if they will perform ballet or tap and let you know. Combo classes will perform two dances, which means you will need two costumes. The B/T/J combo will get 3 costumes. Costume payments will be divided into 2 payments. A minimum of $25 per costume is due at this time. You may pay more if you want and you may make additional payments at any time. If you need to work out a different payment plan, please see me. Deposit was due October 14h and the balance is due December 19th. Prices are the same as last year and include tax.
