GRAND KNIGHTS MESSAGE
Brother Knights
The past month has been rather quiet insofar as council activity
is concerned. That's not to say that things weren't happening. On
the contrary, we have elected a full slate of officers for the
upcoming year and it's a very impressive group of brother
knights. Details regarding the actual installation of these newly
elected officers will be announced very shortly and will be
posted in the KC Korner of the Sunday bulletin. Watch for the
announcement and then make plans to attend this important
event to show support for the brothers who'll be leading us for
the next year.
INSURANCE CORNER
Leaving a TAX FREE INHERITANCE to Your Children or
Grandchildren
Brother Knights and families,
I'm often asked what the most effective way is to leave an inheritance,
or a legacy to survivors. The answer is single premium life insurance,
of course! Let's “think outside the box” for a moment!
Life insurance is the most effective and efficient way of leaving a
legacy to those you love. Why? Because life insurance automatically
leverages the amount of money that you will leave your loved ones.
his legacy is tax free while bypassing probate, too! Let's explore the
two types of life insurance policies that will accomplish this:
1.
The past Grand Knight's dinner was an enjoyable evening of
socializing and excellent dining. We had a nice turnout of
knights and wives and great conversation. The evening
culminated with an award ceremony to recognize the brothers
who chaired our various events during the year. It was gratifying
for me to acknowledge the efforts of these brothers who were
responsible for the success of this years council activity. Finally,
it was my pleasure to introduce our Family of the Year, Rocky
Vandal, his wife Noami, and their son Antonio, a most
deserving and impressive family. And lastly, I was honored to
introduce our Knight of the Year, a tireless and dedicated
worker, Frank Schultz. If you missed this years dinner, keep it
in mind for next year. I want to emphasize that this dinner is for
all knights and their guests not just the officers. We'd be thrilled
to see more of you there and rest assured, you'll enjoy the
experience.
Meanwhile, we're entering a traditionally slow period of activity
for the council but mark your calendars for our annual KC
family picnic on August 11th at the Casey Lake Park Pavilion.
More news on that will be announced as we get nearer the date.
With grateful appreciation to all brother knights.........
Vivat Jesus!
Denny
2.
Single Premium Whole Life: a policy funded by one
premium only. This type of policy multiplies the tax free
benefit payable to your loved ones. Another benefit is that
you still have access to your original outlay (cash value)! In
fact, your cash value is guaranteed to make you a profit if
you choose to access it while you're still alive. It may very
well provide you with a higher interest rate than CD's and
other savings vehicles.
Survivorship Life: another type of policy funded by one
premium only. This policy is designed to provide a
maximum tax free benefit to your loved ones. It's great for
those people who know that they have no need for access to
the policy cash value in their later years. This policy actually
insures a husband and wife together and pays out on the
second death.
What do you think your children would prefer? A nominal amount of
money or a leveraged tax free benefit? Contact me to see if a Knights
of Columbus life insurance legacy plan will work for you (maximum
age: 80 years old. Underwriting is required).
God bless,

PROUD TO BE A KofC
Please Pray For Justice
Our Fundraising from the Tootsie Rolls was very good this
year in spite of the weather. The Special Olympics, The
Community Bridge and The Northeast Quadrant District
916 Special Ed Really appreciate all of our effort. We
raised a total of $4966.21 for them
Thank You Volunteers
We seem to have had a great year with many
volunteers for the events it took a lot of man-hours to
pull them off. It is incredible what we can accomplish
when we pull together.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
We still have a few members that have not paid their dues yet and
we are closing the fraternal year. We really don’t want to waste
time and money sending multiple bills. We don’t want to suspend
or even threaten to suspend our brothers if you are having
financial trouble and are unable to pay the dues and you still want
to be a Knight Contact financial secretary or the Grand Knight
and we will take care of it.
NEWSLETTER UPDATE
