World War 2
In year 4 we are learning about
World War 2 and evacuees. We have been writing stories about the War and describing pictures. We have also been talking about a book called the
Lion and the Unicorn; we have been describing the setting about the story and what the characters are like, we were talking about a boy called Lenny who is also an evacuee. In big writing we have done a piece of writing putting ourselves in the position of an evacuee and saying what it felt like, and how hard it would have been for them all. After half term we were learning about rationing and how they used coupons and how they stamped rationing books. After that our teacher gave us a choice of how to present our work.
GYMNASTICS
In Year 1&2, we went to a
Gymnastic club at the Girls
High School in Sleaford. We did many activities like: running up and jumping on a trampoline, balancing on a Balancing Beam,
Standing on a high platform then jumping off, playing with hoola hoops and getting medals at the end!!! All in all it was a really fun day, and we learnt lots of new skills.
