Frederiksted, unmarried, employed as a Barber, and exempted from service.4
-----------John5/Johan6 Balthazar7 Wispitall was born on St. Croix in about 1802 and was
baptized in the Lutheran Church.8
He was married to Sarah.9
In October 1841, he was living at 1 Queen Street, Frederiksted, a widower,
employed as a Fisher, and exempted from service.10

1. Christian [Chrestian] Cosmo Wispital was born on 24 February 1821 and
was baptized in the Frederiksted Lutheran Mission Church on 10 June 1821, a free
mulatto.11
In October 1841, he was living with his sister at 58 King’s Street, Frederiksted,
unmarried and employed as a Sadler and a Private in the Fire Corps. 12
In October 1846, he was living at La Valle’s School House (Northside B Quarter),
unmarried, employed as a Teacher. He was an uncle to Samuel v. B. Benners, who was
also resident at the school house.13
2. Elizabeth Bernina Wispital was baptized in the Frederiksted Lutheran
Mission Church on 15 December 1822, free mulatto.14
In October 1841, she was living with her brother at 58 King’s Street, Frederiksted,
unmarried and employed as a Mantua Maker.15
