Postgraduate Document Check List Please ensure that you send copies of the following documents to accompany your application form. If you do not submit these documents WITH your application, your form may well incur delays in processing and subsequent assessment. These copies will be verified against their original counterpart if you are invited to attend an interview. If you issued with a conditional offer without interview, you will be required to submit verified copies. Form of photographic ID (e.g. passport or driving licence) Visas and Leave to Remain If you are currently residing in the UK under a specific type or visa, or have been awarded Indefinite Leave to Remain, please ensure that you provide a photocopy of this page from either your current or previous passport. We will need a copy of this to determine whether you are classed as an International, or Home/EU fee paying student. International applicants If you do not hold a British passport and are from outside the EEA or Switzerland and want to come to the UK to study at St George’s, you will need to apply for a Tier 4 student visa. For further information and guidance regarding immigration, please visit our website at: http://www.sgul.ac.uk/international/immigration-information/Immigration Academic and/or professional certificates and transcripts If you are unable to supply an original certificate (for example, if this has been lost), please ensure that you have contacted the awarding institution and requested a transcript or replacement certificate. This transcript must contain the title of your award, classification and date of issue. It must also be presented on the headed paper of the awarding institution. MRes Biomedical Science and PgDip Physician Assistant Studies applicants only: first degrees should be dated within the last 5 years (from date of application). If you are providing overseas qualifications, please ensure that you send certified copies of certificates, transcripts and grading schemes to support your application. These documents should be translated into English (if not already written in English) by a certified translator. They should also be accompanied by a UK NARIC certificate of comparability, as this will help us to determine the UK equivalence of your qualifications. Exceptions to this requirement can be found on our English language web pages: http://www.sgul.ac.uk/international/english-language-requirements Applicants who do not meet these criteria will be expected to undertake an International English Language Test (IELTS) that assesses the four elements of reading, writing, speaking and listening. For Postgraduate study, applicants should achieve a minimum overall score of IELTS 6.5, with the remaining sub-test components at a score of no less than 6.0 (some courses require higher scores for entry; for further information please visit individual course web pages). Test certificates should be dated within the last two years to be considered valid. Applicants will only be permitted to submit two test attempts undertaken within a 12 month period.
