Success for High March Senior Voices at the Marlow Music Festival
It gives me great pleasure to be able to convey some excellent news in this first bulletin of the
second half of term. Our Senior High March Voices are to be congratulated on winning the gold
medal in their class at the Marlow Music Festival yesterday.
Furthermore, they have been
awarded the cup for the best choir overall! We look forward to hearing their pieces in Prayers
next week. From the many complimentary comments that I have received from parents who
attended the competition, I know how impressive their performances were. This is due to the
enthusiasm and commitment of our Director of Music, Mr Richard Elliott. Well done Mr Elliott on
this result and on all of the other successes that our pupils are currently enjoying the individual
classes at Marlow!
Pupils selected to appear in “Annie”
Congratulations go to Georgia Patel in form 2GW and Rebecca Maguire in form 4A who have both
secured parts in the production of “Annie” which will be performed later this month at The
Wycombe Swan. We look forward to hearing more about their performances in due course and I
know that many of our pupils have tickets to attend one of the performances.
High March Website
Just a reminder that a letter went home today announcing the launch of our new website at
www.highmarch.co.uk . If anyone has any comments regarding the new site, please do email me
at [email protected] as your feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Upper School Parents’ Evening Appointment Sheets
I have now returned all of the Parents’ Evening sheets with the appointments filled in. If you
notice any problems, (such as a clash or an appointment missed off) please contact me so I can
amend any mistakes.
If your daughter has not given you the sheet and it is not in her bag, please let me know and I can
send you a duplicate copy.
Thank you very much,
From Mrs Halford

Christmas Fayre 2008 - Pick a Pot
We are asking for your help in making the Pick-a-Pot stall a continued success. Your
daughter/son will be bringing home small pots, which we would like you to fill up with some little
goodies, for example: small toys, sweeties etc…- whatever you can cram in there! Please return
the full pots to the School Office.
On the day of the Christmas Fayre, please come and try your luck to see which Pot you Pick!
Many thanks for your generosity,
From Mrs Claudia Jackson (01494 67118) and Mrs Tessa Hancox (01494 670548), Form 2GW
“Money Tree” for the High March School Christmas Fayre 2008
Our Money Tree needs YOU!
We have a little money tree, but nothing does it bear
Only bows and ribbons from last year’s Fayre.
We now need the money – a pound coin will do,
To make this tree bear a good prize for you!
With two games to play, a pretty Christmas tree marks our stall, the adults (and financially astute
youngsters) have the chance to win a significant cash prize and the children have the chance to
win a Christmas treat in our lucky dip.
To ensure we have a cash prize worth winning and some great treats for the children we are
relying totally upon your generosity, so please send your donations to the School Office in the
envelope provided and help make this our best year yet!
Thank you
From Mrs Wendy Healy (01494 670084)

so long as it’s in a bottle!
Thank you for your support.
We look forward to seeing you at the Bottle Stall on Saturday 29th November.
