MIX::TAP protein is expressed and can be affinity purified from transfected parasites
lysates. Protein was eluted from IgG-sepharose beads incubated with either
MIX::TAP parasite lysate or wild-type parasite lysate and subjected to SDS-PAGE
and western blotting, probing with rabbit polyclonal anti-MIX antibodies. (B)
Identification of MIX-interacting proteins by mass spectroscopy. Proteins eluted from
IgG-sepharose beads from parallel MIX::TAP and WT purifications were run on a 412% Bis-Tris gel and the band indicated by the arrow was cut from the gel and
subjected to mass-spectroscopy to identify possible MIX-interacting proteins.
