AOB: Fat Ox site An order has been placed with KCC to install a tree at the Fat Ox – This is likely to take place in early November. A thank you card has been sent to Carol and friends at the Fat Ox for watering and tending the planter. A thank you also goes to John Hoad for clearing and keeping the site so neat and tidy. John thought it would be a good idea if we can organise it to remove last years Xmas Tree stump as this would be quite a good site for new tree Jean to contact KCC for permission to install an anchoring rod approximately 1Metre into the ground at the triangle to make Xmas Tree more secure and stable. Sandra paid a tribute to Eileen saying how moved she was by the Service on Sunday and Tea Party in Hall afterwards. Post Meeting Note: A huge thank you to Jean who organised the Tea in the Village Hall and to all who helped her before and afterwards. Thanks also to the church for their contribution. A letter has been sent to Tenterden Town Council suggesting that it might be a better idea to retain the existing toilet block but to take out existing toilets and insert a vandal proof pod into the building shell. This we felt would be much more in keeping with the area and just as cost effective than the alternatives we had been shown. Raymond advised that the St. Michaels organist has written a musical piece! and is looking for about 40 singers. Any volunteers? Ken has received a letter from St. Michaels PCC thanking us for the poppy presentation to the Church. Meeting closed at 8.35pm Next Meeting Monday 7th September 2015.
