NZLS Auckland Branch Autumn Seminar Series Identifying Stress in the Workplace and Resources available within the Community Presented by Dr Rob Shieff (MBChB) Fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists The Presenter Rob is an adult psychiatrist, working full-time in a private practice in Ponsonby. Following completion of his specialist psychiatry qualification in 1996, Rob has undertaken extensive training in Auckland, California and Philadelphia. He uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help people deal with emotional problems, depression, anxiety and anger. His main area of clinical expertise relates to the assessment and management of Mood Disorders – Major Depression, Bipolar Affective Disorder and the Anxiety Disorders. Rob has an active teaching role within the Auckland regional psychiatric training programme, while also contributing to a variety of Primary Mental Health teaching initiatives through the University of Auckland and Primary Practice Conferences over the past 8 years.
