Meeting Minutes
Canterbury Agriculture Commission
Thursday, September 24th, 2015
I. Call to order:
a. Acting-Chairperson Lee Wrigley called the meeting to order at 7:03 PM
b. Recording device was unavailable to obtain audio transcript.
II. Roll call:
a. Members present: John Baldwin, Lee Wrigley, Rob Tuttle and Christina Fensely. Lee filled in for Dawn
Pindell who was coordinating preparations for “Celebrating Agriculture” in Woodstock.
b. Chairperson acknowledged that a quorum was present in order to conduct this regularly scheduled meeting,
and that the agenda had been posted as required.
III. Review of minutes from previous meeting:
a. Minutes of the previous meeting (August 27, 2015) were reviewed and discussed. Motion by Rob, seconded
by Lee, to accept previous minutes as recorded and place on file. All in favor, motion passed.
IV. Opportunity for Public Comment:
a. None.
V. Old Business:
a. CANTERBURY COMMERCIAL KITCHEN: No update available from the EDC.
b. WALKTOBER 2015: John will contact Tony Denning (Maple Leaf Farm) to schedule at pre-walk of the
hiking path. John will e-mail members regarding any perceived concerns, safety issues and parking.
c. GROUP AGRICULTURE PRESENTATIONS: No update.
VI. New Business:
a. CELEBRATING AG: Dawn sent out brochures. Discussed participation and schedule of events for
September 26th.
b. CLCK: Discussed upcoming presentation (next week) in Windham.
VII. Other Business
a. None
VIII. Next Meeting
a. Next official Canterbury Ag Commission meeting will be held October 22nd at 7 pm in the Community
Center.
IX. Adjournment
a. Motion to adjourn by Rob, 2nd by Christina, (unanimous.) Meeting adjourned at 7:15 pm.
